New CSA Standards for 2013

There has been a great deal of confusion surrounding the CSA Standard for Fall Arresters, Vertical Lifelines and Rails (CSA Z259.2.1) over the past several months.

Let us take a moment to give you our understanding of where things are at. CSA Z259.2.1 is being discontinued, and replaced by 2 new standards. CSA Z259.2.5, Fall Arresters and Vertical Lifelines, and CSA Z 259.2.4 Fall Arrestors and Fixed Rigid Rails.  Both standards have now been released and CSA will start certifying to them in 2013. At this time, we continue to manufacture our lines to CSA Z259.2.1.

We will be updating all our products to the newer version CSA Z259.2.5 in 2013.  The previous version CSA Z259.2.1 will remain in effect for 2013 and there will be a time when our product is certified to both the old and the new standards.
